About the Studio

Strange Light Creative was founded by award-winning sports producer and editor Erica Messick, whose career spans nearly two decades across ESPN, NBC Sports, NBCUniversal, and global events including the Olympics, World Cup and Super Bowl.

After years working inside major networks, Erica launched the studio to create culture-driven storytelling rooted in community and shaped by the people behind the game.

The studio develops and produces video and multiplatform creative for organizations, athletes and communities — including Strange Light Sports, a storytelling platform focused on women’s and youth sports.

From broadcast-level production and series development to digital and social storytelling, every project is built from concept through final delivery with clarity and purpose.

At its core, Strange Light Creative exists to tell the stories beyond the stats and scoreboard — elevating women’s and youth sports while helping brands and organizations connect through authentic, human storytelling.
